El legado del iPhone

Este vídeo, rodado con un Nokia N95, deja claro que hay bastante gente que no sabe lo que compra cuando compra un iPhone. Es decir, creen estar comprando una maravilla técnica cuando en muchos aspectos hay teléfonos que le superan.



Por supuesto, la gran revolución del iPhone será precisamente ésa. Como apunta The Butt Ugly Weblog, muchos ejecutivos de empresas 2.0 no conocían teléfonos de altas prestaciones pero ahora al comprarse un iPhone por fin se plantearán que sus webs deben permitir el acceso al teléfono móvil (ya está pasando, y algunas de ellas se apuntan a ser webs para iPhone aunque funcionan sin problemas en los Nokia de gama más alta). Triunfe finalmente o fracase, el legado del iPhone parece seguro.

Por otra parte, la gente de phoneArena.com ofrece su repaso del iPhone. Es de la gente que más me fío y la evaluación parece bastante objetiva, destacando los múltiples aspectos positivos, pero también las curiosas limitaciones técnicas:

So, has the iPhone lived up to the stellar hype? Yes and no: the interface is just wonderful. It is much better than I had expected it to be and much more user friendly. Features, such as Google maps, YouTube, and iPod, are just wonderful features added onto this. All this and the phone manages to stay very slim and not too large.

Now, the bad part is that there are many features that are missing. 3G, MMS, A2DP, video recording, voice recording, voice dialing, and flash are just a shame to see missing on a phone this nice and this expensive. Call quality and signal strength has been an issue as well, and not just to us but the public too.

  1. Con respecto al vídeo decir que está genial. El mejor el tipo que justifica su compra por el tema “GPS”, puede ir andando y tocando la pantalla a cada giro de calle que haga… claro, en USA y en algunas ciudades, que es donde está disponible esa opción de Google Maps. En fin, supongo que ya la habrás leído, pero en Aecomo hay una revisión completita en castellano:
